Meyer Trucking has been established for over 40 years. It was and still is a vital instrument in the transporting of product for Meyer Tomatoes.

Initially, Robert "Bob" L. Meyer created Meyer Trucking as a means of transporting his harvested tomatoes from the field to the packing warehouse. In 1975, Meyer Trucking owned one truck and hired seven independent truck owners. Within 3 years Meyer Trucking bought three more trucks, increasing its fleet to four diesel trucks, 26 sets of flat bed trailers, and 52 tomato gondolas. This increased flexibility enabled Bob to bring in his tomatoes on a timely basis. A bigger fleet now available for hauling the tomatoes, farm equipment and corrugated boxes needed for packing also stimulated the growth of Meyer Trucking. By 1985, Bob Meyer realized that the growth of his trucking company depended on expanding its services beyond the realm of only hauling tomatoes and cartons. Always looking to the future, Meyer decided that it was time for Meyer Trucking to become a "for hire" company.

Today, Meyer Trucking, already a major competitor in the agricultural trucking industry, has expanded its services into the "over-the-road" transportation industry. We are a company, created by a single man with a vision. What started as a one-truck operation grew to become what it is today... Meyer Trucking, Inc.
